Everything about Bar Arock totally explained

Barışarock (read as Barışarak in Turkish, meaning rock for peace or through peace) is an annual rock festival organized in Istanbul, Turkey.
The festival started in 2003 as a reaction and counter-festival to Rock'n Coke, another large-scale rock festival of Istanbul sponsored by Coca Cola, positioning itself as an anti-capitalist alternative. The organizers and the audience of the festival maintain that, the idea of rock music isn't compatible with the sponsorship of a global company like Coca Cola and it shouldn't become a tool of advertisement and promotion of consumption.
Entrance to the festival remains free of charge.
